Physical therapy is offered to a wide-spread age group, from children to adults. However, in these days, statistics show that more elderly people are needing physical therapy attention than any other age group. With this being the case, physical therapy is becoming quite the secure job to take education in.

How can it be such a secure career path for your studies? This is because the “baby boomer” generation is finally getting to that older/elderly stages of their lives. As we all know, the older you get, the less your body functions like it’s supposed to. With most of them reaching this age group, it almost ensure that there will be a deficit for physical therapists in the near future.

If you’re interested in the health field and the way muscles work within the human body, physical therapy might be the right career path for you at this time. Physical therapists get paid a lot of money as well, which we all know is a factor in our career decision(s).

    Thanks for the clear picture for pyhsical therapy. Did you notice by age 70, biological changes like the kidney and lungs lose about 10% of their weight compared to young adults, the liver losses 18% of its weight and skeletal muscle diminishes by 40%. So if u pyhsical therapist you actually choose bright career and lots of money as well ;)
